Viva Church partnered with Lifa Church Kampala (MFI affiliated) in 2019, to plant a local church in a remote farming village in Namutumba Province, Uganda. The dream was to plant a church with “DNA” similar to Viva Church.   Life Church sent a fantastic pastoral couple, Henry and Diana Ssenyonga, who were finishing Bible College in the near future.  Pastors Henry and Diana have done an amazing job reaching the lost of Nakyere Village.  Life Church Namutumba now has approximately 250 members and continues to grow weekly.

In 2020 Viva Church purchased 3 acres of land and began construction of a 300 seat auditorium as well as a pastoral home.  Pr. Henry & Diana continue to work hard in door to door evangelism, youth & children’s ministry and acts of compassion for the most needy of Nakyere Village.  

In Christmas of 2023, Viva Church donated over $32,000 toward our Brick by Brick campaign to help build or renovate homes for the most destitute families in the community.  Many people have come to Christ as recipients of this kindness or by watching the selfless love extended by those who proclaim Jesus as their Saviour.

Our goal is to see the local church well established in Nakyere Village and to have this church be a hub of training in the region for other pastors and leaders throughout Namutumba Province.  We would also love to plant more churches in that region and expand the kingdom of God in Uganda.
